STANDARD life is understood to have hired headhunting firm JCA Group to help the group find a new head of its UK life and pensions business.
JCA is thought to be conducting a global search for a replacement for Trevor Matthews, who ran the Edinburgh group's UK operations until February when he left to head up Friends Provident.

Standard Life chairman Gerry Grimstone hopes to have a replacement pinned down within the next three or four months.
