Rugby: Portobello dig in for victory

Portobello fought back in the second half to see off Trinity Accies 15-6 on Saturday and set up an East One top of the table clash with Duns this coming weekend.

Trinity had worked hard to build up a 6-0 lead in the first half at a blustery Cavalry Park, but the hosts scored 15 unanswered points in the second 40 minutes to win.

It was the first competitive fixture from both sides in ten weeks and fitness became an issue in the second half with the freshness of Portobello's replacements, including fit again skipper Craig Little, giving them the edge. The hosts' points in the comeback win came through tries from Graham Foulner and Fraser Boyter as well as five points from the boot of Rory Thompson.
