Fury over pensioner killing

A FURIOUS neighbour of a pensioner who died after an attack has hit out after it emerged the thug had not yet been caught.

Sheila Marnoch, 75, died three weeks after she was attacked by a hooded youth, just yards from her Aberdeen home.

It was the second time in four years the elderly woman had been assaulted and robbed in a community where she had lived for over 26 years. Friends of the pensioner, who lived with her cat, said the ordeal had "robbed her of her life" at the time of the attack on February 17.

And yesterday police admitted that all lines of inquiry had now been "exhausted".

Neighbour Lorraine Livingstone, 51, of Hilton, said: "It was an awful thing that happened to Sheila. I really hope the thug gets caught. And I hope the police carry on doing all they can to catch him.

"I am quite angry that I know he still walking the streets. It is frustrating."
