Free concerts at museum

SOME of Scotland's most talented young musicians are to perform in the Capital.

The National Museum of Scotland is again joining forces with Live Music Now Scotland to showcase the musicians for free. Every lunchtime, from August 9 to 28, visitors will be invited to listen to traditional performers inspired by the history of the Lewis Chessmen.

Jennifer Port, who played her clarsach (a type of harp) at pop star Madonna's Highland wedding, opens the programme.
