Years of traffic jams to open a tramline that will create an ongoing traffic jam and herald congestion charging.

Also if look at story on 30th April about £190M superhub - the funding has not yet been secured and it is delayed so the propaganda about it being an integral part is misleading. What else is excluded from the £600M quoted figure?

Sorry, you poor wee country cousin - roadworks will never be 'all gone' in Edinburgh.

It's not just these unwanted trams is it?? There roadworks going on all over Edinburgh these days.

There should be a sign on all major roads into the city saying "Edinburgh - please use the bypass - and pass by!"

Thank you for your in depth response.
I shall re-word in order to allow full comprehension.
When are the roadworks caused by the construction of the tram system due toi be finished?

Just read that again and I sound sarcastic, so I will re-phrase. Just wanting to know when the tram-system (I use the word "system" with tongue in cheek) is due to be finished?
We've had a lot or roadworks on Skye of late. Traffic chaos with queues of over a dozen vehicles, sometimes more;-)!

You can't be a world-class city these days without a tramline. Dundee should do it, better, cheaper by building their own SYSTEM as it should be.

Today's Vote

Is it right for the council to scrap the proposed Granton spur for the trams?
Yes, in this economic climate the city can’t afford it
No, we need a tram network, not just a single line
Why stop there? Scrap the whole project
