A GOLDEN retriever pup from Glasgow is to become Scotland's first 'ambassadog', beating 200 pooches to the prize.

The VisitScotland-run competition selected George, a one-year-old, as the dog that best represents Scotland.

The golden retriever, nominated by twins Emma and Victoria Rae, will now be part of the national tourism board’s social media campaigns.
